24-Inch Roman Fluted Concrete Pedestal Birdbath

• PEDESTAL BIRD BATH
• Same Height, Less Floor
• A full size concrete bird bath wants about three feet of clearance on every side to look right. A narrow garden or a balcony does not have three feet.
• This one drops the basin to 16 inches and keeps the column at 24. It stands as tall as a full size bath and takes a smaller circle of ground.
• The column is properly fluted, with the channels running the full length and opening out as the base flares. A band of dentils sits under the bowl and another around the foot. Get the classical proportions right and a compact piece reads as small rather than shrunken.
• 24 in. Height
• 16 in. Basin Width
• Shallow Water Level
• 31.9 lb. Weight
• What Makes This Bird Bath Different
• Sized for gardens that are not big. A 20 inch basin crowds whatever is next to it unless you leave space around it. Sixteen inches on the same 24 inch column gives you a proper pedestal bath on a balcony, in a side return, at the end of a narrow border, or on a patio where the furniture already takes the floor.
• Fluting that runs all the way down. The channels are not stopped halfway. They follow the base as it flares and open out with it, which is the correct classical treatment and the reason this reads as a small column rather than a short one.
